Like a grazed story page…
let it go.
Then live your life.
That is easier said than done, how can I move on when I Invested time and money in it. Only to see it fail, turn its back on me or self-destruct. Let it go, I cannot do that, I have to do something, I mean what else can I do?
There are going to be times in your life when the things we love, work towards or fight for either fail you or disappoint you. That is life in general failure and disappointment is natural. Getting used to it as a growing adult is a part of the maturing process.
That does not mean you should only accept every failure, let go and do nothing. Accepting and letting go is two different things though. Accepting means you just coming to terms with the fact this happened. Letting go means you are mentally lowering the impact or significance of it. Doing something about it is the epitome of healthy living.
Do not sit there and despair over problems and failures in your life.
Let it go.
If you do not accept it, you go into denial. If you do not let it go you go into depression. If you do not do something about it, you will never live or progress in your life. The life you live is defined by your decisions, what happens to you may not be under your control. But you are the one that controls the narrative of how it can go.
Remember, control the narrative, do not let denial, depression or impotence set in. Be active and change the status quo of your life. If one way does not work, try something else. If a person in your life is always failing you, lower your dependence on them, if not straight cut them off.
Life is like a story with its up and downs. Downtime, tension, drama, climaxes and resolutions, but it should end resolved, any good novelist knows that. Be like a good novelist for every challenge or tragedy write a silver lining make the story continuing do not end it where you lose the war. Heroes may lose the battle but they never lose the war, you are the hero win the war.
The story is written by you, why would you write yourself losing the war, write yourself as the hero, even if a grey one. Think about it, heroes tend to:
Realize the dilemma(Accept it)
They have people’s lives at stake so it makes little sense arguing over spilled milk (Let it go)
Put together a plan to save the world (Do something about it)
See, just apply the same logic, it works wonders. Live, remember this do not let the struggles of life get you down. Accept it, let it go and do something, anything just live people.
Note: It should not be anything illegal now, be creative try something you never done before like skydiving with a bottle of champagne with your ex-girlfriends female enemies after your girlfriend breaks up with you. I’m joking, but that would be fun though I must admit.
