People say to talk to yourself is the beginning of your madness. People think a lot of things and a lot of biased associations. Madness is relative, just like truth, in fact, talking is natural whether it is to yourself is unimportant. After all, we already do that in our mind anyways.
It might be your conscious, it might be your imaginary friend. Well, I suppose it is better to say those things than saying it is your inner madness. You talking to yourself in your mind. Mulling over the intricacies of the problem. Asking yourself questions…in your mind….that’s not crazy, right?
So what is the difference in this case, not much really. Talking to yourself is pretty much the same thing. Just like answering yourself which, to be honest, might be taking it a bit further but it is not really as crazy as jumping off a cliff.
The reason might be the social comparisons made. Sciphosionics talk and answer themselves and are defined as crazy. If you do the same in front of someone who does not know you, they will make the wrong assumption, which is you might be crazy.
Logical, yes it would seem to be, actual not that much. It is one track minded to fall into that bias, cause I can tell you many seemingly sane people are more insane than people who are scorned by society because of how they behave.
Behaving differently from the norm is not a reason to jump to automatic assumptions. We all hate to do that.
My life is supported by many actors. They factor in every action and move I make. These actors are not my friends or my family. They are me or at least the different forms of me. You ever know what it is like to be talked to by someone who knows you better than you know yourself?
